So excited about this 12-ft table I just finished for a private hospitality suite in the middle of downtown Dallas. I think the base is my favorite of all of the ones I’ve welded because it’s both architecturally beautiful and rock-solid. The top is a rare (and heavenly) 12-ft length of book-matched cedar.

(Confession: I liked it so much that I made one just like it for myself.)

This custom, natural-edge Nona console table is a customer favorite. It’s long and leggy and so, so sexy. And it goes with everything: modern, boho, steampunk…whatever.

Made from reclaimed cedar, the Nona comes with a variety of leg styles from bent birch (shown) to welded steel, to reclaimed barn wood. I oiled and waxed the top in my signature soft sheen and left the divisions in this one, although, I can easily add butterfly joints to future designs.

This design is 12”w x 96”l, but since they’re custom, the sky’s the limit in terms of length.

Last Saturday was an awesome day on the farm with my wood-whisperer (and heart-of-my-heart) Jerry and his lovely lady-friend, Helle. Having Karl, videographer Coke, and all the workshop pups around as we spent the morning watching the chickens and feeling up the freshly milled cedar made me happier than happy.

No two of our trademark Chevron top tables are alike. The next step on this one will be edging the perimeter using salvaged flooring planks from the teardown of a historic Dallas building (sad for posterity, but great for me), and adding industrial pipe legs with locking wheels.
